About Tom Sears

The Scott County Kiwanis Club decided to name our annual fund-raiser Pancake Breakfast after our fellow Kiwanian Tom Sears.

Now deceased, Tom was a dedicated club member always willing to help in whatever activity he could. He served as Club President during 1997-98. 

Drawing from his expertise as a chef at Georgetown College, he was instrumental in “making it happen,” each year in the food preparation for our day of welcoming the public. He was loved by the students at the college and by his fellow Kiwanians. 

We need a lot more “Tom Sears” in  our club. Won’t you consider becoming a club member and join us in outreach to our Georgetown/Scott County community?

The 2025 Tom Sears Memorial Pancake Breakfast preparations are under way. The date is March 22nd, at Lemons Mill Elementary School. 

The local community always comes out to support us and a good time is had by all who attend.
